Very different traditional Iranian wedding

Iranian traditional wedding customs are quite impressive and different in Kalat, Razavi Khorasan Province.

The wedding ceremony begins at the groom's house with the presence of women wearing bright-colored, red silk dresses.

They go to the bride's sister and the groom’s brother to invite the family to the ceremony as well as attending a ritual in which the bride and groom should wear traditional clothes.

The bride and groom's clothes made of pure silk are woven in the county. A wedding shawl made of special silk is also wrapped around the bride’s face while she can see all around through the shawl, but her face is totally covered.

One of the aims here in the ceremony is to encourage social interactions.
